Kwame K. Stith
Hello my name is Kwame Stith. I currently teach Civics & Economics and Contemporary Law & Justice at Hopewell High School and I am also Hopewell's Student Government sponsor. I am originally from the Washington D.C. area and I have lived in Charlotte for approximately 3 years. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Maryland at College Park where I received my Bachelors degree in History. "Go Terps!" I also have a Masters degree in Education from the University of Phoenix (Therefore, I'm a "Phoenix" as well). I am also currently an ABD (All But Dissertation) student working on my doctorate degree in psychology.
I have worked in education for the past 8+ years. I began my teaching career in the alternative education setting working with students who exhibited at-risk behavior and transitioned to the public education setting as a social studies teacher. My social studies teaching experience includes: World History, AP Psychology, Civic & Economics, U.S. History and Contemporary Law & Justice.
I have two wonderful sons (a 7 year old and a 4 year old) and I love to travel and explore new places.
